Tactical Knee pads to Engineer Knee Pads

Description

So I recently had a chance to make my knee pads for engineer more accurate.

1. I started with my tactical knee pads that I had previously painted yellow.

2. I used tape to draw straight lines from the middle of each existing eyelet to plot where I would put the new ones. Then I made holes.

3. I stripped the top four existing eyelets out. Then I used epoxy (2 part glue) to cover up all the EYELET openings . I used Bondo to fill any uneven surfaces after the epoxy cured.

4. Drilled through my epoxy to the right diameter. Used more Bondo to fill.

5. After filling, sanding, and painting, this is what I ended up with.

6. Inserted new eyelets that I hand painted with flat light gray paint.
